Description
We’re looking for a highly motivated senior brewer with a can-do attitude and a hands-on approach to leadership to help us establish the production of BrewDog beers in the USA. In this role you will work closely with our Managing Director and Brewing Director, as well as our senior production team based here in Scotland, to ensure epic craft beers are brewed out in the USA according to our strict specifications and in good time. In this role you will work independently alongside our established brewery partners in the USA. You will have a solid understanding of BrewDog beers and impeccable sensory skills, able to analyse and rate beers produced in the USA according to the same set of specifications we set for our beers here in Scotland. You will be adept at technical recipe design and development as well as proficient in brew house, cold block, yeast, and filtration management. You'll also be willing to spend one - three months here in Scotland learning how to brew like BrewDog.
At BrewDog we’re constantly brainstorming new brewing horizons, so we’re looking for a senior brewer who is a natural innovator and keen problem solver. You will be an open and honest communicator, good at building relationships with our partners to ensure any BrewDog beers brewed on their site meet expectations. You will work independently, but will be expected to work with the on-site brewing team whenever they are brewing one of our beers. Throughout the process you will liaise with your colleagues in the brewing, packaging and lab departments as required to ensure that the quality of our beer is testament to our commitment to putting craftsmanship and flavour back into peoples’ beer glasses. You will have experience in supervisory roles, be a brilliant team player and a natural facilitator, capable of overseeing all process brewing, from fermentation through to maturation, filtration and packaging.
Responsibilities
-Liaising with breweries in the USA to source the best partners for BrewDog to work with in expanding our Stateside presence.
-Overseeing all aspects of process brewing, from fermentation to maturation, filtration and packaging.
- Documenting relevant data and working with the onsite brewing team at partner breweries to ensure this information is shared and communicated to our team back in Scotland in good time.
Experience
-To apply for this role you must be eligible to live and work in the USA.
-Relevant degree in chemistry, engineering and/or brewing science.
-Minimum 3 years’ experience working at a senior level in a brewery, preferably in the USA.
