  • Brewmation Control Panel Shutting Down Intermittently

I've come into the brewery several times recently to find that the Brewmation control panel had shut down. I leave it on screen saver every night and originally thought it was not responding to touch and might be operational. The cellar panel light indicated that communication with the main panel was down. Powering the panel down and powering back up gets everything going again. No breakers tripped. Cellar tank temps were about 4 degrees above my set point each time. This has happened before, but only twice over 6 months. I had to replace an SSR about two weeks ago and it has happened about 6 times since then. Can't have this!
    Anyone else having this issue????

Define SSR. Solid State Relay? The design and reliability on some of these devices is questionable.
You may very likely have either s power supply issue or a loose connection.
I would power down and go through the entire panel and tighten everything up. All screw terminals. Inspect all terminations of every kind. Read the power supply output and be sure its in spec and take note of panel internal grounds etc.
If the system is not on some kind of a UPS, or it does not have control logic provisions to deal with dirty power then it may not re-start correctly after a line fault. That would definitely be a consideration in our area.

      More info

      Yes SSR= Solid State Relay.

Brewmation suspects a faulty cellar solenoid or cable that is causing the cellar panel to fault. When the cellar panel faults, it causes the main panel to fault. The shutdown is happening sporadically. I now have it narrowed down to one fermenter or one of my brites. I know it's one of the two because the problem did not happen while they were not in use.

There is an error message that reads "Expansion error"
