About the Brewery:
We are an ultra premium beer producer located in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country. We have been in business for nearly two years and sell mainly to the local wine country market. Most of our beers are bottled in 750 mls and sold direct to consumer through our tasting room and "beer club". We also do some kegs distributed at high end tap rooms around wine country.
About the beer:
We brew with a 3+ barrel system and an assortment of 3 and 7 barrel fermenters. We focus on small lot ultra premium releases. We make about 18 different beers that rotate based on the season covering most styles of beers. At the heart of our program is our wine barrel aged beers. The owners of the brewery also own local ultra premium wineries which gives ready access to a plethora of various barrel types.
What we are looking for:
A full time head brewer who can essentially run the back of house and all aspects involved with the beer production. We have an existing consulting brewer who will train the new brewer on recipes and procedures. We also need the new brewer to help manage the imminent expansion of the brewery which will involve the purchase of new tanks and brewing equipment. We are open to letting the new brewer experiment and make new beers to add to the lineup. Especially when it come to barrel aged beers.
The Applicant also needs to be somebody who is very personable and good with "selling" to direct customers. We run the brewery much more like a winery tasting room than a traditional tap house which means a lot more interaction between the brewer and tour groups and tourists.
Pay is negotiable depending on experience.
