    Saucony Creek Brewing Company, Kutztown, Pennsylvania is seeking a passionate and skilled brewer to manage brewery production and lead the brewery team. This position will be responsible for the entire brewing process from recipe development, mash-in to knockout, yeast management, overseeing fermentation, conditioning, preparation for packaging, and inventory management, while always ensuring the highest of quality standards.

    The ideal candidate for this position will have:

    • Minimum of 3 years production brewery/brewing experience
    • Must be a highly self-motivated and quality driven individual
    • An accredited brewing degree or related science degree is preferred
    • Ability to work independently without supervision
    • Strong technical knowledge of all aspects of the brewing process
    • Strong mechanical understanding of the entire brewing process and all related equipment.
    • Experience with TTB and State Brewer’s Reports
    • Experience with Meheen Bottling lines is a plus
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed during peak business times.
    • Must have strong organizational skills & excellent attention to detail.
    • Strong mathematical & computer skills, including MS Office
    • Professional verbal & written communication skills
    • Ability to work in loud and temperature extreme environments
    • Capable of lifting 20-50 Lbs. and being on your feet for extended periods of time

    Responsibilities include:

    • Management of Brew Day tasks and assistant staff
    • Yeast management
    • Fermentation reports
    • Proper CIP & SIP Procedures and chemical handling
    • Manage and maintain work schedules for brewery staff based upon production needs
    • Maintain the brewery & equipment using proper operating procedures, preventative maintenance & CIP, SIP, COP procedures
    • Ensure safety policies & procedures are followed & regular safety training is conducted & hazards are addressed immediately
    • Manage inventory for all raw materials, packaging and finished products
    • Bottling line setup, operation and cleaning
    • Keg Washing
    • Training, supervision and management of brewery staff
