The Bronx Brewery is a small, craft brewery in the Port Morris section of the South Bronx. It was launched in 2011 by a small team with two things in common: a maniacal focus on creating high-quality beer and a passion for the Bronx and New York City. We're opening our new brewery soon and are looking for a full-time tasting room manager to join our team at the new Bronx Brewery in Port Morris.
General Duties
*Oversee Tasting Room: Handle money daily, reconcile cash drawers, recap daily tasting room revenue, open and close the tasting room, troubleshoot draft beer flow issues, change kegs and providing brewery tours.
*Guest Focus: Create and maintain a welcoming environment for all guests in the tasting room. Proactively seek out and resolve guest issues.
*Inventory Management: Manage tasting room inventory stock levels and ensures that beer, merchandise, non-alcoholic beverages and food are stocked daily.
*Team & Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a team of servers, tour guides, and event management staff. Create an environment of excellence in beer knowledge and guest service.
*Event Management: Advertise, develop, and manage events at the tasting room (e.g., weddings, birthday parties, corporate events).
*Merchandise: Process, coordinate and ship all internet merchandise sales including pick up requests and shipment.
*Donations: Coordinate all donation requests and pick ups.
*Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Key requirements include:
A love of craft beer and the Bronx!
Must be able to lift 60+ pounds.
1+ years working in a Supervisory or Management capacity within the Retail or Brewery industry (preferred).
Able to be trained on and work with a POS system.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The job is accessible by subway and close to major highways.
