Position: Sales Representative – O’Connor Brewing Company
Territory: Greater Richmond, VA Area

Established in the Spring of 2010, O’Connor Brewing Company is a fast growing microbrewery located in the coastal city of Norfolk, VA. Priding ourselves on consistency and quality, OBC has recently expanded into a new facility and is looking for the right candidate to help our business grow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities-
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key retailers and restaurants in assigned territory.
• Assume leadership role in implementing key brewery initiatives with distributors, retailers, and restaurants in assigned territory; sales growth, new product releases, seasonal releases, pre-orders for brewery.
• Communicate brewery’s objectives, policies, and procedures with distributor partners.
• Conduct in-field work with sessions with distributor representatives.
• Ensure that the brewery’s quality standards are clearly understood and enforced by distributors and retailers.
• Compile data to identify opportunities for new or expanded distribution, lost sales, incremental volume increases, and other business insights.
• Ensure proper use of available legal point of sale items throughout assigned territory.
• Communicate sales data, goals and market relevant insights with distributor partners.
• Attend all sales and company meetings as requested
• Represent O’Connor Brewing Company at selected festivals and events such as but not limited to brewery dinners, tastings and promotions.
• Sell in and conduct training programs with retailers, restaurants, and consumers on all aspects of O’Connor Brewing Company products.
• Review and understand all legal restrictions regarding brewery product in assigned territory and ensure all initiatives are executed within those limitations.
• Ability and willingness to maintain flexible work schedules, as weekend and extended workdays are necessary.
• Additional duties may be assigned as necessary
Job Requirements-
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the requirements below:
• A minimum of two (2) years in sales or related industry experience is required
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• Must live in and have prior experience in the assigned territory
• Clean driving record, valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance required
• Desire to obtain Cicerone Certified Beer Server within 60 days, with interest in studying for and passing the Cicerone Certification Exam within your first year of hire
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Competency in basic computer applications; Microsoft Office programs
• Experience with brewing, beer distribution and beer retail operations preferred
• Must have the ability to multi-task and work in an organized fashion
• Must have the ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals
• Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed
• Must be willing and able to assist with out-of-market promotions, events and festivals, as needed
• Must have the ability to lift and move 35 lbs. cases of beer frequently, and move and place 165 lbs. kegs as needed.

This is a full time position that will offer a competitive salary with bonus potential, and benefits that include health, vision and dental insurance, paid vacation, a company vehicle and cell phone reimbursement.
