    HOPWORKS URBAN BREWERY
    POSITION DESCRIPTION: Brewery Sales Representative
    LOCATION: SEATTLE, WA AND SURROUNDING AREA

    *Previous on premise and off premise beer/wine sales experience is highly desired.*

    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position implements our sales strategy against a specific list of targeted accounts within multiple marketplaces for the entire HUB portfolio. Charged with increasing the availability and visibility of HUB brands, through obtaining specific objectives within each account, the brewery representative is expected to grow HUB’s volume, presence and influence in the trade. This representative is expected to be the authority on product knowledge, brand positioning and programming in the marketplace. The role will be responsible for bringing the brand strategy to life at the point of connection with the consumer. Candidate must be enthusiastic about the brewing industry and must have passion for great beer and sustainability. This position will be based in the Seattle market and cover Washington and Canada.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Reinforce Hopworks core values and principles
    • Be able to achieve specified account goals as provided by HUB Sales manager
    • Increase points of distribution and number of buying accounts
    • Maintain and develop relationships with key staff, management and owners at key accounts
    • Contact and correspond with distributors to insure FIFO, quality control and product pull through
    • Coordinate and support brewery events (tastings and festivals) that generate brand awareness and consumer sampling, as well as new distribution at target accounts
    • Work within the assigned promotion budget maximizing promotional activity
    • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with distributor sales personnel
    • Work with wholesaler to drive business targets. Manage and refine brand position
    • Monitor upward or downward trends and communicate to HUB senior management
    • This position reports to the Sales Manager and will work closely with our Distributor Partners
    • Must be able to travel and work flexible hours/days
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
    • Must live in the Seattle market

    PERFORMANCE STANDARDS/KPI’s
    • Secure a set number of draft lines and bottle placements for the HUB portfolio within the account base
    • Perform a set number of promotions per month (includes on-premise bar promotions, beer festivals, special events, in-store samplings, etc.)
    • Conduct a set number of wholesaler meetings/trainings and work-withs on a monthly basis
    • Grow account base total HUB volume at a targeted amount
    • Secure placement of a set number of point of sale material within the account base


    SKILLS
    • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Presentation skills including the ability to conduct creative and informative presentations to wholesalers and retailers
    • Business analytical skills
    • Action oriented, ability to complete tasks with limited supervision
    • Knowledge of company, state, federal regulations and franchise laws
    • Keen knowledge of US beer business and its practices
    • Organizational and administrative skills
    • Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills
    LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
    MAST Permit

    Intermediate - Must work with marketing and brewing operations to insure seamless integration of sales goals.

    EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in sales

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
    Regularly lift/carry 30-40 lbs.
    Occasionally lift 50-75 lbs.
    Regularly walk, climb, balance, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time
