    Overview
    The Oregon Brewers Guild is seeking an Assistant to the Executive Director/Events Representative. The Assistant to the Executive Director/Events Representative will be responsible for assisting the Executive Director as needed in executing Guild and non-Guild events. Compensation for this role is non-exempt.

    Primary Responsibilities
    I. Assist the Executive Director as needed.
    II. Plan, promote, manage, and represent the Guild at all necessary events, with up to 2,500 guests, whether it is Guild or non-Guild run. Examples of responsibilities around events include, but are not limited to: Interacting with different people when planning events or completing them- customers , people in the beer industry, media, or leaders/officials of other industries. Selling merchandise at events to customers.
    III. Assist with promotions and marketing for the Oregon Brewers Guild, both internally and externally.
    IV. Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge and Skills
    Proficient in web based email newsletter platforms, Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel and Powerpoint.
    about the beer industry, including a basic understanding of the regulations and governing breweries.

    Availability
    Working weekends and evenings is required. This includes set-up, execution and break down for events.

    Education and Certifications
    1 or more years experience working for one of the following: a craft brewery, an alcohol manufacturing company, a distribution or sales organization, a company that supports craft brewing in public relations, marketing or events.
    Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to and from events.
    Operating vehicle that is registered and insured.
    Valid OLCC Servers permit

    Physical Requirements
    The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee in the position described to perform the position’s essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Those physical demands include: frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk and hear, stoop, kneel and crouch, as well as work on your feet for over 8 hours at a time. Ability to lift 75 pounds and move up to 165 pounds using traditional lifting/moving methods. Ability to be exposed to outdoor conditions including sun and rain and work in hot and cold environments for extended periods of time.
