    Arbor Brewing Company Microbrewery is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and passionate person to join our brewery team as the Packaging Operator/Mechanic. ABCM is a rapidly growing production facility that produces award-winning craft beer for distribution throughout Michigan, and we have recently launched our brand in the Ohio and Connecticut markets. Since opening in 2006, ABCM has continuously strived to not only create superior handcrafted beer, but to decrease the footprint we leave behind in doing so. ABCM was Michigan’s first solar-powered brewery and we are committed to sourcing local, natural ingredients both in the brewery and kitchen.     EXPECTATIONS

    • Ability to efficiently and effectively learn and operate all packaging equipment and their respective components
    • Ability to follow SOP’s.
    • Knowledge of CIP for bottling run start up and shut down
    • Knowledge of production reporting and batch records
    • Attention to detail and detailed notations in regards to equipment performance
    • Perform QC checks on Bright beer tanks before and during packaging runs
    • Ability to safely and proficiently operate fork lift in close quarters
    • Compile, inventory and source all packaging equipment common wear parts, components, and suppliers, part numbers, etc.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and work well with other supporting departments
    • Work towards hitting and improving departmental goals, efficiencies, yields, operating costs as well as decreasing down time
    • Repetitive handling of 30+ lbs per case

    REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of 2 years in packaging or equivalent manufacturing experience
    • Experience operating machinery
    • Electronics troubleshooting and repair skills, electrical wiring 110, 208 single and 3 phase
    • Mechanical systems troubleshooting and wrenching skills
    • Pneumatic control and valve troubleshooting and repair experience
    • Understanding of pumps, motors and controls
    • Drive motor, gearbox and conveyor experience
    • Experience with VFD and PLC equipment
    • Proper use of PPE
    • Able to run Fork Lift
    • Attention to detail is a must
    • Organizational skill
    • Must be able to efficiently multi-task and prioritize.

    COMPENSATION: competitive pay based on experience

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT: ability to work a minimum of 8 hours on your feet. Wet, cold & noisy environment, working with strong chemicals, high pressure air and Co2, grease, glass, tar pits and quick sand.
