  • CO2 lines food grade?

we have a 450 bulk tank and need to run gas lines to brite tanks, serving room etc. Is it necessary to use "food grade" hose or is any pressure rated rubber hose OK?

    thanks for your input

Braided tubing from Foxx Equipment will do just fine.

We use 3/8" OD PE tubing from Kaman Ind. It's cheap, comes in 100' rolls, and is easy to sanitize. Being cheap is important, since we replace it regularly. This tubing can handle 100 psi nicely, but not much more, so you'll need a primary regulator off your bulk tank--a good idea, anyway.

Good idea to use braided vinyl to run your mains. Higher pressures and whatnot.

We used braided vinyl for the higher pressure side and a retractable air hose reel (PVC...not natural rubber) to move from tank to tank. Works ok for us so far, but we went cheap on the reel and after a few months it doesn't "lock" anymore when you pull it out which is quite annoying.
