    Mother Earth Brew Co is a family owned and operated microbrewery located in Vista, CA. Mother Earth has one goal; to create distinguished, hand crafted beers that stimulate sensory conversation and a desire for the next sip. We believe in making craft beers from only the finest ingredients, and we think it shows.
    This position is hourly approximately 25-30 hours/week to start, with the anticipation of becoming full time (35-40 hours/week) in the next 6 months. Mother Earth offers medical/vision/dental coverage to employees who work 30+ hours/week, and vacation benefits to employees who work 37+ hours/week.
    Applicants must demonstrate a passion for beer and brewing, and the desire to advance. Advancement opportunities to cellarman, assistant brewer, and brewer are available based on aptitude and work ethic.
    Job Overview
    This position is a combination of two functions: Inventory Control Technician and Packaging Technician. The primary responsibility of the Packaging Technician is to follow all Standard Operating Procedures for Mother Earth’s bottling and canning lines and to package consistent, high quality products as directed by the Head Brewer. The primary responsibility of the Inventory Control Technician is to organize and keep accurate and up to date inventory of all raw goods and finished packaged product.
    Inventory Control Responsibilities
    • Maintain inventory control of the production coldbox to enable first in first out on products going to distributors and to internal sale/distribution.
    • Organize raw materials in dry storage and packaged products in coldbox to maximize space efficiencies.
    • Research and recommend new and improved organization methods and best practices
    • Organize and stage shipments to distributors in advance of pickup.
    • Follow all Mother Earth safety standards.
    • Other duties as directed by Head Brewer or Management.

    Packaging Technician Responsibilities
    • Participate in set up, operation, and cleanup of bottling and canning line.
    • Assist in routine maintenance of machinery.
    • Rotate between various functions of bottling and canning lines. Continuously follow all quality control standards and procedures at each station.
    • Move packaged beer to cold box in an organized manner.
    • Clean kegs.
    • Follow all Mother Earth safety standards.
    • Alert Head Brewer immediately of any quality control issues.
    • Other duties as directed by Head Brewer or Management.
    Qualifications
    • Ability to work well in a fast paced team environment
    • Prior brewery experience a plus
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to lift 55 pounds repetitively
    • Forklift certified a plus
    • Flexible schedule
    • Must have reliable transportation, be punctual and maintain good attendance

    • High school diploma or GED
    Pay Scale
    $10-$12/hr depending on qualifications and experience
