Steamworks Brew Pub Head Brewer Vancouver B.C.
We are looking for an experienced Head Brewer for Steamworks Brew pub location. To run and manage the brew pub to and ensure the highest quality beers are brewed and served onsite. Reporting to the Brewmaster, the position will be responsible for wort production, cellar operations, managing inventories, CIP’s, fermentation and conditions, QA and QC, yeast husbandry, general maintenance, general cleaning, recipe development, managing a small team and excise.
The ideal candidate will have the following -
• Minimum of 3 years production brewery/brewing experience
• Must be a highly self-motivated and quality driven individual
• An accredited brewing degree or related science degree is preferred
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Strong technical knowledge of all aspects of the brewing process
• Strong mechanical understanding of the entire brewing process and all related equipment.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed during peak business times.
• Must have strong organizational skills & excellent attention to detail.
• Verbal & written communication skills
• Working in confined spaces and chilled environments
• Must be able to work in Canada
• Of course a love of beer!
Ambassador
As Head Brewer you will develop an intimate knowledge of the brewing process used and the high quality beers produced. You will participate in special events and share your knowledge and enthusiasm for Steamworks products with customers and the general public.
We also have assistant positions going at the production brewery location as well.
