    JOB TITLE: Inventory Clerk
    LOCATION: Bell’s General Store
    REPORTS TO: Store Manager
    POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Hourly
    EXTERNAL POSTING DATES: 09/23/2014- 10/12/2014

    POSITION SUMMARY: Controls store inventory space and the stocking of the general store.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    •Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery.
    •Keeps adequate daily stock levels for all general store items.
    •Organizes and maintains inventory warehouse.
    •Monitors and tracks store inventory and performs periodic inventory audits
    •Works with vendors and the online store/POS department to replenish low stock items.
    •Receives all inventory shipments; unload, open, unpack, tag, organize, and issue sales floor merchandise.
    •Checks shipments upon arrival to ensure order specifications are accurate.
    •Stocks shelves, racks, cases, bins, and table with new or transferred merchandise.
    •Cleans displays.
    •Design and set up advertising signs and displays of merchandise on shelves, counters or tables to attract customers and promote sales
    •Transfers stock from logistics center to general store, as needed
    •Flexible schedule some weekend shifts are required

    Additional duties may be assigned as necessary

    •Must possess a valid driver’s license

    MATERIALS/MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED:
    •POS system
    •Forklift
    •Handcart
    •Computer
    •Company vehicle

    IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    •Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work load to balance multiple projects
    •A self-directed individual who is a team player
    •Strong problem solving and analytical skills
    •Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    •Flexibility and adaptability to an ever-changing environment

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
    •Minimum of two (2) years experience in customer service, preferably in merchandising or retail.
    •Prior experience with inventory control and/or stocking.
    •Homebrewing experience a plus.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    •Ability to be on your feet and walk a majority of the time. Walking surfaces may be wet and/or slippery.
    •Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs, and occasionally maneuver 165 lb kegs.
    •Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
    •Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
    •The employee regularly works in a warehouse and refrigerated workspaces.
    •The employee regularly works outdoors.
    •The noise level in certain parts of the brewery is occasionally loud (80+ dB).
    •The employee works near moving mechanical parts.
