Brewer / Cellarman. Franklin TN
We are currently looking for an experienced brewer with at least 1 year of professional brewing experience at a brewpub or production brewery. Degree in brewing science is a plus.
Cool Springs Brewery is producing some of the most unique and exciting beers in Middle TN. We are also one of the fastest growing breweries in Tennessee with an increase in volume of over 100% in the last year. We currently supply product for our Brewpub, package 22oz bombers and fill kegs for distribution.
A future off-site production brewery is currently in planning (4 vesel 30 barrel system with 120 bbl fermenters). When operational, there will be many open positions, including taking over operations at the brewpub.
This position reports to the Brewmaster and Owners of the brewery.
Requirements:
-Minimum of 1 year brewer experience
-Working knowledge of brewing theory and applications.
-Must be immediately available and able to work nights/weekends.
-Must be able to work in hot, strenuous working conditions.
-Ability to follow SOP’s (standard operating procedures)
-Willingness to have fun and make great beer!
-Ability to lift 55lbs over head.
-Ability to lift 160lbs.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
-Brewing, and all aspects of the process for quality wort production
-Performing CIP-SIP procedures including Cellaring, and all aspects of the process to produce quality finished beer ready for packaging
-Yeast management
-All necessary packaging duties
-Adherence to cleanliness and quality control standards
-Lifting heavy objects
