  • Need some hose recomendations - not Goodyear vintner and not nutriflo/nutriflex

Anyone have some hose recommendations for me?

I use mainly goodyear nutriflo. They barely last a year now with the increased usage as our production has been ramping up. We have had a few burst during CIP recently (1.5" hose off the supply pump, 30 psi at the gauge on the tank cip arm, 140 F max temp using ultra niter).

Vintner hose is extremely expensive in comparison and we don't need such a heavy duty hose for what we are doing with the cider. The CIP use mentioned above is the most intense temperature/pressure use that this hose will see.

Is there some other hose that is a bit better quality than goodyear nutriflo that will last longer and not fail during CIP once it gets a little older?

    Thanks

    PVC vs Vintner hose

Yes the Vintner hoses are expensive in comparison but they will last a lot longer, so your cost per use is about the same. They are great value which is why so many brewers use it and we still have it on sale.

Gray Vintner Food Rubber Transfer Hose with TC ends. Contitech Vintner is the first crushproof hose in the winery & brewery industry.

You could try a braided PVC hose like Goodyear PliovicĀ® FG, it will handle more pressure on the discharge lines but will collapse under vacuum so you can't use it on the suction side of your pump.
