Position: Brewery Production Manager
Great Basin Brewing Company, established in 1993, is Nevada’s oldest and most award-winning brewery. Great Basin operates three separate breweries, two (7 and 25 barrel brewhouses) located in restaurants and a production facility (30 barrel brewhouse) where all bottling, canning and much of the kegged beer is produced for distribution to Nevada and California. Great Basin seeks to add an enthusiastic production manager to oversee the rapidly growing packaging part of the business of beer. Attributes for the favored candidate:
A minimum 5-years experience covering all phases of brewing
An advanced degree in science, engineering and/or brewing science
Exhibit superior people skills and be successful participating with and managing a hard-working brewery staff
Possess a strong work ethic and understand efficiency and time management
Great organizational skills
Good mechanical skills and be able to maintain and repair equipment
Be committed to maintaining and enforcing a safe work environment
Ability to administer budgetary efficiency and communicate and assist with fiscal management
Be familiar and able to oversee QC programs
Be physically fit
Computer literate
Ability to maintain an efficient, safe and fun workplace

Great Basin Brewing Company bottles are filled using an 80 plus bmp GAI rotary filler and cans with Cask equipment. The two brewpubs provide great research and development facilities and provide additional capacity for kegged beer for off-site sales as well as flexible personnel to assure better efficiencies and labor flexibility. Great Basin is continuing to add capacity in hopes of satisfying the growing demands, adding additional 120 barrel fermenters this winter to facilitate anticipated growth.
Great Basin Brewing Company is located in Reno, Nevada at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains offering exceptional outdoor recreation opportunities. The high deserts to the east present solitude and raw beauty and the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the west provide a plethora of outdoor reward. Lake Tahoe is a 30 minute drive with great warm weather hiking, biking, climbing and water sport prospects. The area boasts 15 ski resorts. San Francisco and the Pacific Coast can be reached in less than 4 hours.
