    JOB TITLE: Sr. Can Line Operator
    LOCATION: Warrenville, IL
    REPORTS TO: Packaging Supervisor & Packaging Manager
    POSITION TYPE: Full- Time, Hourly

    OVERVIEW

    The Sr. Can Line Operator is responsible for running the Can line equipment safely and efficiently during a given shift and leading the can line team doing so. The Sr. Can Line Operator is responsible for training jr. operators on the line. The Sr. Can Line Operator will run the equipment in a way that is conducive for attaining the production schedule in an safe, efficient and cost effective manner.

    EXPECTATIONS

    • Ability to master all Can line equipment operations including but not limited to; sterilization, start-up, normal operation, shut-down, changeovers etc.
    • Perform preventative maintenance based on established schedules; ensuring that daily, weekly, and annual maintenance is performed
    • Should have a strong focus on Safety, Quality and Efficiency, constantly evaluating work practices in the spirit of constant improvement
    • Knowledge of production reporting
    • Perform QC checks on packaged beer and understand Bright beer tank (BBT) quality checks and specs
    • Perform BBT cleaning
    • Ability to follow SOP’s
    • Comply with all company policies
    • Train new Can line employees
    • Ability to communicate effectively and work well with other departments
    • Work towards hitting the department goals around efficiencies, yields, and cost

    REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of 2 years Canning experience, high speed rotary filler
    • Experience following SOP’s
    • Experience with HMI’s and or PLC equipment
    • Ability to multi-task, be a team player or work independently
    • must be able to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly
    • Must be able to twist/turn and stand/walk on a continuous basis
    • Work on your feet for over eight hours at a time
    • Work in loud production environments (80+ db)
    • Work with chemicals of varying composition
    • Work in damp/wet areas
    • Ability to work all shifts, additional hours & weekends as necessary
    • Must be an open and good communicator. Respect for co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
    • A great attitude and passion for craft beer is required!

    COMPENSATION:

    Depends on experience. This is a full-time hourly position with benefits (including health insurance) that begin after a successful 90-day introductory period.
