  • Adding port to bbt

Currently our carbonation setup in the bbt is via a small stone attached inside the bbt. Its plumbed in via a 1/4inch hole in base of bbt and in order to remove it I have to physically get inside the tank... which isnt a great setup.

I'd like to get the tank modified to take a carb stone mounted on triclamp fitting so it can be removed easily for cleaning. Any advise on how best to get the welders to fit the triclamp fitting to the tank?

If your bbt is jacketed, I would look into getting a tri clamp ferrule sanitary welded to the door. That would be the easiest spot I can think of.

I'll second that. Almost all of our brew vessels have the stones mounted through the door. While this means somewhat less head pressure when carbing, it works fine.
