Ithaca Beer Co., founded in 1998 in Ithaca, NY, is looking for a dynamic person with craft beer passion to lead the Ithaca Beer sales team and help the company grow in existing markets while expanding into new territory. The Sales Manager reports directly to the President.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage, motivate and support sales teams in the execution of area specific sales and incentive programs
- Hire and train new sales team members in all territories as needed
- Work with Executive team to compile annual production and budget plan based on sales forecasts
- Communicate with Production, Brewing and Marketing to ensure execution of the plan
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers and key accounts frequently communicating current product initiatives
- Manage chain and key accounts
- Manage monthly wholesale orders tracking sales and inventory reports
- Manage POS for company branding and awareness
- Provide written sales reports in a timely fashion
- Work with Marketing to coordinate timely release of information to wholesale partners, retail accounts, and to customers
- Work with Marketing to create new product ideas and designs with input of territory knowledge
- Monitor current trends in the market and report to the executive team
- Communicate sales related information to the brewery staff, wholesalers and customers
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years sales experience or sales management experience preferred
- Prior sales experience in the craft beer industry
- Marketing experience a plus
- Excellent Communications skills
- High Degree of professionalism
- Team player mentality with team leadership qualities
- Flexible schedule
- Regular travel throughout entire sales territory
