    JOB TITLE: Senior Staff Accountant
    LOCATION: Administrative Office
    REPORTS TO: CFO
    POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Salaried
    EXTERNAL POSTING DATES: 10/10/2014-10/26/2014

    POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the Accounting department the Senior Staff Accountant will act as the point of contact for day-to-day accounting department needs. The Staff Accountant also assists the CFO with managing financial information by researching and analyzing accounts, assist with financial statement preparation, and installing or advising on systems of recording costs or other financial and budgetary data.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    •Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery.
    •Assists in the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
    •Point of contact for day-to-day Accounting department’s needs.
    •Assists the CFO with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting Department.
    oPerforms analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
    oDevelops, reviews, and analysis budgets.
    oMaintains contract and capital project files. Assures that capital project purchases are properly applied and appropriate records are maintained.
    •Develops and implements accounting procedures and internal controls by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
    •Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
    •Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
    •Assists in maintaining department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    •Responsible for completing all required hours/credits to ensure accreditations/licenses remain up-to-date.
    •Stays abreast on FASB, GAAP, and general professional standards and communicates opportunities to improve, add value, and enhance Bell’s values and goals to CFO.

    Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

    MATERIALS/MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED:
    •MS Office products; including Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
    •Cisco Multi-line Phone System
    •General Office Equipment (i.e.: copy, fax, scanner and postage machines)

    •Strong time management skills with a proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

    •Ability to work proficiently in Windows environment including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access Database, and Microsoft Outlook on a Windows based PC.
    •Microsoft Great Plains – Dynamics Accounting Software

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
    •Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    oCPA license is preferred
    •Three-five (3-5) years public accounting experience with an emphasis in auditing.
    •Prior experience working with Microsoft Great Plains- Dynamics Accounting Software.
    •Moderate level of craft beer product knowledge.

    •While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, use a computer and other office equipment.

    •Work is primarily performed in an office environment with occasional trips to operational areas required.
