I'm wondering if anyone has any ballpark numbers for BOD & S/S data regarding typical brewery effluent. I'm trying to put together some info for the local municipal water treatment. I've seen numbers of 1,100 to 1,500 mg/l for BOD, but I'm not sure if thats an average over total flow, or a particular segment of waste water. Wondering if anyone has a breakdown of averages, kettle bottoms, fermenter dregs, finished beer, packaging...? Ultimately I'm trying to guage how sophisticated or simple pretreatment might need to be.
