    Sales Representative – CT/RI
    Do you love craft beer and cider? Do you want to craft a career in this fast growing segment of the alcoholic beverage marketplace? Things are happening fast in craft cider and Vermont Hard Cider Company, maker of Woodchuck Hard Cider, is leading the charge into deeper innovation in the craft category. We are seeking a passionate and energetic addition to our sales team to focus on working with wholesalers and supporting retail sales through promotions and events. This position will respond to strong market demand. Put your leadership, high energy, creativity and strong people skills to work! You will be responsible for the sales and retail development of the assigned brand portfolio within the territory of Connecticut and Rhode Island.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Spending the majority of time working with distributors to build the distribution base both ON and OFF Premise through all levels of the organizations.
    • Heavy focus- on premise and grocery/liquor chains (where applicable).
    • “Work withs” (wholesaler reps and management), product placement, price management, chain program execution and on-premise promotions.
    • Participate in Annual Business Planning meetings, taking more responsibility in this process once you develop in the position.
    • Implementing programs and leading by example to ensure distributor execution. Regular distributor Sales / Kick off meetings and ride-withs are critical components to the success of this position.
    • Conducting on and off premise samplings and represent at weekend festivals

    Requirements include:
    • Passion, high energy, and eagerness to meet with current and future Woodchuck fans!
    • Familiarity with the on and off premise craft beer market.
    • Brewer, beer wholesaler, and chain experience preferred.
    • 1-3 years in related sales or service industry experience with a focus in the hospitality or food and beverage industry.
    • Possess strong budget management skills.
    • Ability to formulate account strategies and execute against them.
    • Strong administrative, organizational, analytical, and computer skills.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
    • Based out of the Providence, RI area.
