Calling all beer geeks! Calvert Brewing Company is expanding! We are seeking hardworking, self-sufficient, and passionate craft beer sales professionals to join our team. Our exposure is increasing every day and we need a salesperson who can keep up with the demand and help take us to the next level.
Job Summary: The Washington DC Craft Beer Representative will be responsible for achieving sales goals and aggressively acquiring new accounts. We are a new brewery, so you will build and expand our Washington DC market from the ground up. You will grow and develop brand loyalty and awareness, harbor new accounts, and maintain/expand current clients. You will develop a sales strategy in your region based off of reporting, market analysis, and product demand. You will also be responsible for coordinating and promoting brewery events such as tap takeovers, festivals, etc. You will work closely with distributors, key retail, and restaurant accounts to sell our beer and make Calvert Brewing Company a household name for any craft beer enthusiast.
Job Requirements: Qualified candidates will have a deep passion and knowledge for craft beer. You must have excellent written and spoken communication skills, especially when talking shop with fellow beer professionals. You must have 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in the craft beer industry. Strong time-management and problem solving skills will go a long way. This is not a 9-5 position; You must be willing to work nights, weekends, early mornings, and some holidays. You must have a driver’s license and a clean driving record. Strong PC and Microsoft Office skills are also a plus. Finally, qualified candidates will have their Cicerone Certified Beer Server Certification.
