OVERVIEW:
The ideal candidate will maintain IT infrastructure required to support day‐to‐day operations and business initiatives as well as support the exploration, development and implementation of new business unit initiatives. This person will oversee the information technology activities and goals of the organization; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions in both an office and manufacturing setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee MIS organization responsible for development and implementation of new IT initiatives.
• Prioritize MIS initiatives based on business needs.
• Improve visibility and integration of MIS initiatives at the executive level of the organization.
• Manage day‐to‐day operations of MIS with a structured, process‐oriented approach centered around a responsive Help Desk.
• Identify user needs and direct the building of MIS teams to work across all levels of the organization.
• Maintain all information technology systems and drive system strategy consistent with the business plan of the company.
• Participate in the development and implementation of strategies for upgrade, expansion, continuous improvement, life cycle, and preventive maintenance of the automation systems
• Seek out business efficiencies that can be gained through systems.
• Act as primary contact with integrators and automation system vendors.
• Prepares long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, and acquisition of the resources needed to support them. Assures responsiveness of long-range plans to corporate objectives.
• Coordinate activities with outside consultants and vendors, as necessary
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Systems Experience:
• Knowledge and 3+ years’ experience with MRP and ERP systems such as Deacom ERP or a similar system. Please note your experience with ERP/MRP implementation and managing in your cover letter.
• Have extensive experience implementing and supporting multiple systems with the ability to generate metrics on efficiencies gained with these systems. Significant experience with understanding and building business processes through systems.
• Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of data networks, especially those in a plant automation setting.
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or computer related degree or equivalent experience
Other:
• The perfect candidate must be a cross functional leader who can help drive changes in accounting, production and other areas of the business.
• Ability to interact and work with all levels within the organization
• Strong troubleshooting skills – applicant must be able to determine the causes of complex problems and recommend practical and effective solutions
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Be available outside of normal business hours, as necessary
• Passion for craft beer is preferred.
