Brewer/Cellar Employee- Toppling Goliath Brewing Company, Decorah, Iowa
Job Description:
We are a family owned business with a very dynamic team atmosphere. Ideal candidates will:
• Work within a team environment with helping to produce products of the highest quality.
• Be safety conscious and always aware that the brewery is a potentially dangerous workplace. Use all available safety equipment and strive to make improvements in brewery safety.
• Perform with honesty, integrity, good attitude, and maintain a good attendance record.
• Maintain a clean and organized brewing facility.
• Perform cellar duties, filter, keg, and package products.
• Use proper clean-in-place (CIP) procedures to clean and sanitize brewery equipment.
• Perform assignments as directed by Supervisors.
• Ensure the smooth operation of the Brewery with regards to staff relations, and the proper maintenance of Brew house equipment.
• Operate a forklift to move bottles, kegs, spent grain bins and other material as required (company will sponsor if you are not certified).
• Use good tact, good manners, and mature judgment.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of basic brewing, cleaning, sanitation, and record keeping processes preferred- not required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Ability to safely lift and maneuver kegs, grain bags, etc.
• Clean driving record.
• Willing to sign a Non-disclosure/ Non-compete agreement.
