JOB DESCRIPTION: Big Rig Brewery is currently seeking a sales representative for our brand in Ottawa and surrounding area. This position will secure new business via direct sales and developing existing business via promotional execution and merchandising activities of the assigned and growing distribution network. Preference given to those who have experience in the market and/or heavily involved in the craft beer scene. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Ensure the implementation of all sales and marketing programs for the entire portfolio. Motivator to achieve sales objectives. Focus on selling products in retail accounts, identify accounts that are not currently customers and develop a plan to establish business with such accounts.
- Conduct wait staff and bartender education and beer tastings.
- Plan and execute on-premise promotions as required including evenings and weekends.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with key accounts both on and off premise.
- Be responsible for the allocation and use point of sale materials.
- Utilize data, monitor and track progress and complete and submit reports as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Sales experience preferred but not necessary with experience in the craft beer segment.
2) Have and intensive competitive spirit with and assertive confident personality, but leaves the attitude at the door.
3) Be able to interface with people from various backgrounds and in a wide array of responsibilities/positions with confidence and ability to close a sale!
4) Have pride in yourself and a strong work ethic with a demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities.
5) Be self-motivated and able to work with limited amount of direction while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving results.
6) Use strong judgment and have professional maturity.
7) Possess excellent problem solving skills and be mathematically proficient.
8) Be willing to travel overnight and maintain a good driving record.
9) Have proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
