    We are a local Seattle company focused on the idea that beer made with the finest local ingredients is not the wave of the future but the doorway to beer's history. We hand forge our beers using the finest local ingredients to produce beer of exceptional quality. We currently have a full-time position for a Brewer/Cellar Person, located at our main facility in Fremont. The primary responsibilities include wort production, data recording and fermentation tracking, yeast management, dry hopping, beer transfer, fining, and carbonating, and the cleaning, sanitation and maintenance of equipment, vessels, and general workspace.
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.     Job Requirements:
    Must be at least 21 years of age
    Must be passionate about beer and the brewing industry
    1-2 years of job-specific experience or an equivalent level of education and experience
    Advanced knowledge of the brewing process, fermentation, and cellar principles
    Strong record keeping skills, attention to detail, and communication skills
    Perform data entry and work with computers using Office software and industry specific inventory and tracking software
    Conduct routine maintenance on process equipment
    Communicate any issues regarding: mechanical operations, wort/beer quality, and safety to a supervisor
    Assist in other areas of the brewery as needed
    Occasionally assist in Fremont Brewing events as a brewery representative in a professional and responsible manner
    Ability to follow verbal direction and standard operating procedures
    Lifting heavy materials (up to 55 lbs.)
    Standing for long periods of time (up to 8-12 hours per day)
    Constantly ducking under and around equipment
    Climbing ladders
    Routine pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, climbing, bending
    Ability to work in hot, cold, and noisy environments
    A valid Washington State ID and a clean driving record
