    Craft Cider Sales Representative

    Golden State Cider is looking for enthusiastic cider lovers in the Bay Area to join our sales team. As a member of our company, you will join the fastest growing beverage segment in the U.S., representing Golden State Cider and Devoto Orchards Cider in the Bay Area. Our sales representatives are the face of the company. They are required to maintain and grow lasting relationships with all of our accounts, have excellent time management skills, a strong knowledge of sales, and an immense passion for cider.

    As a small, but fast growing cider company, we are looking for an individual who will not only make a great salesperson, but who also has a passion for the craft beverage industry and wishes to become a leading figure within it. We are a small team that relies on every member to care equally about our products and industry. We strive to make a quality cider that takes no shortcuts in its production, so we expect the same from our employees. Above all, our team members must always be ready to go above and beyond to support each other, our accounts and our products.


    Responsibilities:

    Increase on-premise and off-premise presence within sales region

    Develop sales contact strategies and a prioritized plan of attack.

    Establish deep knowledge of key craft beer/cider buyers and venues.

    Maintain and deepen existing account relationships to build long-lasting partnerships and trust in the brand.

    Leverage experience in industry to generate accurate sales projections and goals.

    Plan and execute promotional pouring events with key accounts that may occur any day of the week.

    Accurately report activities and account records in our database.

    Manage Pre-sales for key accounts of our specialty and seasonal products.

    Participate in weekly meetings covering new accounts and sales results.

    Develop expert cider knowledge and understanding of our portfolio & culture and educate our accounts and customers.



    Requirements:

    3 to 5 years experience in sales, hospitality or food/beverage service industries.

    Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals.

    Ability to MacGyver any problem that presents itself including, but not limited to, account draft lines, jockey boxes, and getting last minute kegs to key accounts.

    Excellent time management skills - this position requires the ability to be proactive and take initiative.

    Self motivation – this position requires a high level of independence with little supervision.

    Superior communication skills - this position requires ongoing communication of relevant information to manager, regarding accounts, products, opportunities, etc.

    Willingness to work flexible hours as needed – this position has a lot of potential evening and weekend work.

    Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with retail accounts and individuals.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    21+ years old
    Available evenings and weekends
    Valid driver’s license, proof of valid State registration and automobile insurance
    Willing to travel 3-5 days a week and have access to working vehicle 7 days a week.
    Able to lift 50lbs


    Compensation:

    Competitive base salary and sales commission based on experience.
