About the job:
The Raleigh, NC based Craft Brands Market Representative will represent a group of 5 beer suppliers. This individual will not only work to build sales of the brewery partners in the assigned market but also act as a liaison between the breweries and Distributor.
Responsibilities:
· Spend at least 80% of time in market.
· Work directly with distributor and their sales staff in his/her territory to promote the sales.
· Represent brewery partners in distributor sales meetings.
· Make sales calls on potential accounts.
· Make sales calls at existing accounts with the goal of gaining additional business.
· Oversee/Coordinate special events in their market on behalf of breweries. This will include participation, when possible, in the appropriate special events, registration, logistical coordination between the distributor and the event staff and actual attendance and representation on behalf of the brewery.
The successful candidate should have:
· Previous sales, merchandising or pull-up experience a plus
· A passion for beer. This is a must.
· 2 years of sales experience in the alcoholic beverage industry preferred,
· Bachelor degree preferred
· Ability to work independently on a flexible schedule; including weekends and evenings
· Must be 21 years old and must qualify for an ABC Wholesale Salesmen permit
· Ability to periodic and repetitive lift up to 40-60 pounds
· Must have a clean driving record, valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required
