Job Description is as follows:
The General Manager is a position that reports directly to the Area Director/ Director of Operations. This is a supervisory position that is responsible for the overall operations of the restaurant, managers and staff ensuring maximum expense control and productivity. This position performs other related duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates teamwork/interpersonal relations skills which are friendly, cooperative, tolerant of others, and accepting of authority
• Demonstrates leadership/ability to take charge skills that are assertive, sociable, confident, and action-oriented
• Demonstrates ability to be composed under stress, not easily frustrated, not overly sensitive, is able to give and take criticism in a positive manner
• Provide support and clear direction to management and staff; ensures everyone on the team understands the mission, their position, and what a good job looks like
• Creates an environment that nurtures and encourages learning and personal growth through performance feedback, recognition and follow up on developmental action plans
• Restaurant teams are fully staffed – fully trained through proactive manpower planning
• Ensures team members understand we care about them as people, they feel valued, recognized for their contributions, and challenged to continue to grow and improve
• Minimizes unwanted turnover
• Ensures a culture of having fun – and getting things done (results) is created
• Leads the process for setting team goals for quality and execution; implements action plans to achieve goals
• Ensures the team understands and successfully practices established training & operating systems
• Increases guest counts and guest loyalty by role modeling quality operations
• Oversees processes to ensure facilities are comfortable, clean, stocked, and maintained
• Monitors sanitation and safety, following Health Department and company standards
• Ensures consistent friendly and fast food and service
• First time customers are converted to regular guest
• Guest counts and sales meet or exceed targets
• Can interpret various information quickly in resolving complex problems
• Demonstrates decision making skills that are thoughtful, analytical, and pro-active while maintaining integrity that leads to the long term health of the business
• Involves all team members in the mission of getting and keeping more customers
• Oversees systems and controls for maximizing profits without compromising quality or value and guest satisfaction
• Ensures accurate accounting
• Achieves restaurant financial targets
• Maximizes business results by growing “bottom line” in step with “top line” gains
• Enhances brand equity by fostering community relationships through LSM initiatives and charitable contributions
