    About Hidden Cove Brewing Co.
    Hidden Cove Brewery is a one year old family owned brewery in Southern Maine. Our focus is on unique craft beers utilizing wild yeasts. We love sour beers, barrel aging and making funky food friendly beers. We have a 15 barrel system and a beautiful barrel aging room. Our owners are Culinary grads and love to experiment. We aren’t afraid to go outside the box, get splashed by beer or spend time creating unique new recipes. We are looking for a brewer who wants to join our team. Someone who wants to be part of something special and who’s main objective is to see our brewery become something unique. Some one who takes pride in their achievements and shares the acclaim with their team. Our success is your success, your success is our success. We want to be the funky crazy brewery that everyone talks about in Maine. Do you want to be part of something special?

    Our Brewer
    Must live for beer, have experience brewing on a 15 bbl system and love wild Brett. Sour beer experience a must, barrel aging a plus. Are you someone who wakes up in the middle of the night because you thought of a crazy new beer. Do you love creating, working with an owner who loves to cook and create. You’ll need to understand all phases of the brewing operation, including safety, inventory, quality control, cleaning, cleaning, yah, I said it twice. Manual bottling (for now, 22’s only) and helping to shape a brand that is on a meteoric rise.

    Responsibilities
    Manage the brewery and brewery schedule, brew typically twice a week, maybe three times (for now).
    Schedule assistant brewer, work closely with assistant brewer as well as train assistant brewer in all phases of our operation.
    Inventory and manage all raw materials, including grains, hops and cleaning supplies.
    Maintain and manage wild yeast strains, up to ten at certain times.
    Maintain a safe and compliant brewery.
    Maintain all cleanliness and sanitation of all brewing equipment and work stations.
    Maintain all brew logs, government compliance paperwork and weekly inventories.
    Communicate well with the owners, brew team and tasting room.
    Participate in Brew Festivals, Special Events, Launch Parties and specific Sales Presentations.
    Understand and adhere to all recipes, company specs and procedures.
    Keg cleaning, filling, washing tanks, etc.
    Trouble shooting, equipment maintenance and operating a professional brewery.
    Must have mechanical expertise and have the ability to troubleshoot and fix brewing and bottling equipment.
    Shipping and receiving of products as well as receiving of all raw materials.
    Provide at least 8 beers continuously for our tasting room, while maintaining our draft lines and keeping them clean.
    Be available for VIP tours for our patrons.
    Must be 21 years of age or older
    Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.

    Education and Experience
    Brewing School Degree/ Certificate from an accredited institution, or a minimum 3 years brewing at a commercial brewery.
    You must understand yeast, how to grow it up and keep it healthy.
    An understanding of Sour beers and barrel aging
    An understanding of working on a team with a single goal of becoming a world class brewery.
