Mt. Carmel Brewing Company is hiring. MCBC is a family owned and operated brewery founded in 2005. We are located in the Cincinnati area. We are a production brewery with a small tap room. Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Very strong passion for craft beer and brewing in general
Understand the brewing, cellaring, filtration, and packaging processes
Passionate about quality and cleanliness
Follow established SOP’s with accuracy
Highly motivated
Display strong organization skills
Attention to detail
An open and flexible attitude and a strong desire to learn
Work independently and as part of the team
Possess a strong work ethic and ability to multitask
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills
A high mechanical aptitude
Strong communication skills
Possess a positive can do and will do attitude
Flexible and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done right (Shift work, evening shifts, weekends and overtime)
Properly complete production documentation
Attend occasional beer events to represent MCBC in a professional manner
Climb, stand, walk, crouch, and lift regularly throughout duration of shift, including continual dragging, carrying, and manipulation of hoses, pumps, parts, buckets, carts, tools
Be able to lift 75 lbs, move 165 lbs
Frequently reach with hands and arms
Safely operate forklift and pallet jack
Mix and use chemicals safely
The employee will be involved in every aspect of beer production and brewery operations from grain to glass. This full-time position will consist of performing any and all tasks related to the brewery including but not limited to the following duties and responsibilities:
Receiving/Shipping
Raw materials handling
Production of wort
Management of fermentation and glycol cooling systems
Yeast harvesting and management
Filtration
Transferring of beer
All aspects of cellar operations
Keg cleaning
Packaging of both kegs and bottles
Maintaining organization and inventory
Maintain cleaning schedules and procedures
Troubleshooting and reporting of equipment issues
CIP of tanks and general brewery cleanliness
Know how to have fun and be safe
Other duties as assigned
Work environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a damp environment with hot liquids, airborne particles, chemicals and moving machinery. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
Compensation will be very competitive within the industry and commensurate with experience.
