    Left Hand Brewing Company is looking for an outstanding candidate to join our rapidly growing brewery in Longmont, CO., located in the heart of the foothills and gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. The Brewmaster will oversee Brewhouse and Cellar operations, directly manage Lead Brewer, Lead Cellarman and Packaging Manager and have direct oversight of new recipe development. The successful candidate will have the ability to work extensively with our Plant Engineer in planning and executing the future expansion of our brewery as well as the QA/ QC Director.
    Essential Functions:
    • Managing of team-Lead Brewer, Lead Cellarman and Packaging Manager. Responsible for keeping a constant eye toward improvement developing, updating and communicating recipe changes..
    • Provide information requested by Sales/Marketing in regard to beer descriptions, tasting notes, information required for brand registrations, sales sheets and other marketing materials
    • Attend industry functions as required..
    • Participate/execute annual reviews for staff
    • Assure department’s overall commitment to safety.
    • Provide annual budget information for administrated GL’s..
    • Facilitate the transfer of information upward and downward in the company..
    • Enforce company rules, regulations and policies.
    Requirements and preferred experience:
    • Master’s Degree in addition to 5 + years of brewing experience
    • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and leadership skills required

    You will be a great fit for this position if:
    • You have relevant educational background (i.e. Master Degree with strong course work in Brewhouse Engineering and Brewing Science.
    • You have experience in successfully creating beer recipes
    • Your nature is to mentor and teach others
    • You are highly organized and able to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines
    • You have a strong desire for results and ability to bring projects to completion
    This position reports directly to our VP of Brewing Operations
    This is a full time salaried position with benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off and of course world class beer.
    We do not cover relocation costs.
