Position Overview
This position will cover many aspects of the brewing operation and will report to the Head Brewer. We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and technical person who can perform the duties and responsibilities of racking and packaging beer, cleaning tanks and tools, and supporting brewhouse operations.
1-3 years experience in a related field required.
1-3 years experience in a brewery preferred.
Essential Job Functions
Transfer beer from tank to brite on schedule
Clean tanks (CIP)
Clean tank exteriors as needed
Carbonate brite beer as directed
Packaging beer – bottle, keg, can, small batch
Clean & sanitize kegs
Clean, sanitize, and fill casks as directed
Organize & clean walk-in
Operate forklift (grain barrels, deliveries, etc.)
Operate pallet jack
Wrap and prep packaged beer for distributor pick up
Schedule beer/keg pickups from distributor
Small batch operations
Clean small batch system
Clean & sanitize small batch carboys
Clean & sanitize small batch kegs
Measure grain accurately as directed
Publish a weekly task list
Publish a monthly transfer/packaging calendar
Conduct inventories
Raw material (hops & grain)
Current packaged beer available
Empty kegs
Other items as directed (i.e. wristbands, tickets, printer supplies, cleaning supplies)
Assist Head Brewer with day to day tasks as directed
Assist Head Brewer in brewing operations
General Job Functions
Operate company vehicle (driver’s license and good motor vehicle record required)
Run errands as needed
Take out brewery trash
Clean glassware
Clean draught lines biweekly
Sweep/mop tap room
Sweep/mop walk-in
Sweep/mop brewery floor
Vacuum/clean mill room
Prepare brewery and tap room for events
Represent Branchline at events
Perform sales calls/visits as directed
Meet clients/distribution reps as directed (i.e. training, samples, brand training)
Clean jockey boxes
Other miscellaneous duties as directed by Head Brewer
