Peekskill Brewery is seeking a highly motivated individual for assistant brewer. Must have commercial brewing experience.
The Assistant Brewer will report directly to the Head Brewer and will be responsible for daily brewing (milling grain, mashing in, lautering, boiling, transferring to coolship, yeast management). Other responsibilities will include: sanitation and cleanliness, yeast and fermentation management, beer transfers, racking kegs, familiarity with tank cleaning (CIP), tri-clamps, valves, and pumps. This is a unique opportunity to brew on our 15 bbl system with a coolship and really get involved with each step from grain to glass. Must have the ability to carry 55+# grain bags.
