Head Brewer Needed at Below The Radar Brewpub in Huntsville, AL
Below the Radar is Huntsville’s first Micro-Brewhouse situated in the Historic Huntsville Times Building in the recently established “downtown entertainment district”. Below the Radar opened its doors in August 2012 and has been expanding its lunch and dinner menus as well as its selection of craft beers (32 taps) & drinks ever since. Below the Radar is a great place to have lunch or meet after work for socializing with friends and co-workers. BTR is known for its one of a kind variety of micro-brews, extensive wine list and liquor drinks and its wonderful array of food by our own in-house Chef. Enjoy live music every Friday & Saturday nights to make it a night to remember and the best Sunday brunch in the city.
We have a brand new 7-bbl skid mounted brewhouse. Across from it are two brand new 7-bbl fermenters (room for a 3rd tank as well). Adjacent to the fermenters are 4 brand new 7-bbl double-jacketed brite tanks (direct fed to 4 taps at the bar). We contract brewed for our 6 current stable of craft beer and looking to expand to 10 at any given time. We have plans to expand production to 400-bbls a month within the next 12 months.
Below The Radar is looking for a full-time brewer to operate our on-site production and oversee the expansion of our contract brewing until we can complete an off-premise location for significantly larger brewing capacity. The experienced brewer will handle all aspects for the production of beer (approved for keg distribution only) and support local/regional events. We hold monthly beer dinners featuring regional craft beer paired with incredible food choices. We are in the process of expanding the restaurant – doubling the size of the kitchen and expanding seating to exceed over 250 people.
