Seattle Cider Company, Seattle’s first cidery since prohibition, is seeking a driven, self-motivated, and personable coworker to join our small but growing team in a fast-paced and exciting work environment.
Job Description
• Packaging
o Canning cider 2-3 days / week on our semi-automated canning line
Applicants should have:
• Availability to work the same 2-3 days per week (likely Wed-Fri)
• Flexibility to work early or late on set work days
• Desire to learn and master packaging machinery
• General knowledge of fluid dynamics and pressure
• Mechanical ability
• Willingness to work at a fast pace, yet be precise in daily tasks
• Desire to learn and progress
Physical requirements
• Ability to stand for a full 8-10 hour shift
• Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 140 pounds.
• Vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus
• Ability to be frequently exposed to wet condition and work in extreme cold
• Frequently exposed to strong and sometimes disagreeable odors and occasionally exposed to caustic chemicals
• Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
• Ability to work in a moderate noise level
Compensation
Hourly, based on experience
Benefits
• Paid Time Off accrued hourly, up to two weeks per year for full time work
• Free cider based on company policy
