    Packaging Supervisor Position for a Growing, Fast Paced MicroBrewery

    WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
    We are looking for an experienced Packaging Supervisor to join our team. The Packaging Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the activities of packaging team members. They will monitor and manage all aspects of packaging operations in accordance with established company and industry standards and procedures and ensure team members are working safely at all times.

    The perfect new team member will have 5-7 years of production/manufacturing experience with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience. They will have the proven ability to develop and lead team members in meeting goals and objectives and be results-oriented with strong organizational and decision making skills. We are looking for a strong team leader who will develop a culture of continuous improvement to our operations and assist in building our team as we grow together.

    THE DAY TO DAY:
    • Overseeing the completion of daily packaging (bottles and kegs) and associated documentation while meeting the highest quality parameters.
    • Conducting ongoing assessments of quality control and compliance with safety procedures.
    • Supervising the packaging team to ensure Brewery SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are followed.
    • Hiring and managing the packaging team through supervision and motivation.
    • Interfacing with Scheduling, Shipping & Receiving, and Maintenance Departments.

    IMPORTANT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
    • 5-7 years of production/manufacturing experience
    • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
    • Experience with safety and sanitation protocol and policies; ability to follow and enforce policies (HACCP and CalOSHA).
    • Computer literate. Able to comfortably use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and relational databases.
    • Hardworking, motivated, detail oriented individual with high quality standards.
    • Ability to give and take direction in a team environment and manage the priorities and workflow.
    • Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. on an occasional basis.
    • Ability to be on call; Availability to work all shifts, including graveyard, nights and possibly weekends.
    • Ability to work in extreme temperatures
    • An aptitude for trouble-shooting basic mechanical & electrical systems preferred.
    • Good knowledge of the basic maintenance concepts for installed equipment including preventative maintenance routines and practices.
    • Works well independently and cooperatively with others.
    • Strong communication skills spanning all levels within the organization.
    • Forklift experience and Driver’s License holder.
    • Spanish language skills a plus.
    • Possess a well rounded knowledge of brewing and beer styles is preferred.
