since ale (60-76) and lager (46-58) were defined as "styles",during ... who know's which medevil times... around say when ales were defined(no modern way of temp. control), when did one become the other? for that matter temps below 50 deg, leaving you're swill in a cold river, become a way of defining whether or not you had one or the other? any help or insight to this question i pose, would be greatly appreciated.
unless you're gonna tell me to go go to hbd.com, to get my answers. not that they don't know a few things, but from someone who knows, would be greatly appreciated!
thanks, ihall.
