About the Job
In this job you will be responsible for leading, mentoring and coaching of the brewhouse team members in interpersonal and technical growth, as well as directing and optimizing the operational performance of brewing and cellaring at the Ska Brewing World Headquarters.
Responsibilities
• Monitor brewing schedules and adjust staffing to meet these schedules
• Provide leadership to safety efforts within the brewery
• Ensure compliance with company policies and rules of conduct and address performance issues appropriately
• Provide leadership in process improvement and implementation
• Partner with packaging department to meet production goals
• Train Cellarmen and Brewers in operation of equipment and safety
• Day to day brewing operations, including temperatures and gravities

• A serious passion for craft beer
• Is effective in a team environment, and can lead a multi-shift operation
• Is a problem solver and solution developer for complex situations and issues
• Experienced with managing employees at various levels
• Has good time management, organization skills and is effective in multi-tasking
• Is knowledgeable about beer and the brewing process
• Takes pride in their job
• Can simultaneously demand respect and create a productive, gratifying work environment.
• At least three years management experience in the craft beer or similar industry
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Even temperament, even when under stress
• Excellent understanding and appreciation of customer service
• Highly organized and effective in their time management
