Brewer Position Opening:
33 Acres Brewing Company, located in Vancouver, B.C. Canada, is accepting applications for a brewing position.
We have a two-vessel 20 HL Specific Mechanical brewhouse.
We added 10x 40HL fermenters and 2x40HL brite tanks to our tank capacity from our original tank farm of 2x20L and 2x40 HL in the last year and a half.
Just expanded our current line up of three core brands to five, with a house cider and rotating seasonal beer sometimes two if we can We provide keg product for our tasting lounge and select restaurant/pubs; and have just entered the 6 pack market.
Responsibilities:
1) Wort production
2) Fermentation
3) Yeast harvest / management
4) D.E Filtering and fining
5) Kegging and packaging
6) Documentation of Batches
7) Brewery sanitation and cleanup
8) Assist in bottling and labeling
9) Helping in other departments, as needed
Requirements:
Microbrew or brewpub experience.
Brewing Degree or Life Science background / education is preferred.
Experience in D.E. filtering and packaging an asset.
Work in a safe and sanitary manner
Forklift operation experience an asset
Physically fit, as you will need to lift bags of malt, and move kegs, etc.
Flexible work shifts, as there will be days where we will be “all hands are on deck”, so to speak.
Any mechanical aptitude is desired.
Preference will be given to in the living in the Greater Vancouver, B.C. area.
Applicants from other countries, without a valid work visa to work in Canada, will not be considered for the position.
We will not sponsor overseas applicants, as the process is lengthy and would take too long; we would like to fill the position quickly.
