JDub’s Brewing Company, located in sunny Sarasota, FL, is looking for a hard-working, positive person to join our team as a brewery assistant.
JDub’s Brewing Co. has just entered year 2 of operations. We have a 15 bbl brewhouse, six, 30 bbl fermenters, and one 30 bbl brite tank, with two, 60bbl fermenters on the way. We also have a 3 bbl brewhouse with two, 3 bbl fermenters that we use to feed our taproom and conduct R&D. We have a Cask 1.0 semi-automatic canning line that we are running 3-4 days a month to produce 800-1000 cases. We are anticipating to produce 4k to 5k barrels during 2015. This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door at a growing brewery in sunny Sarasota, FL.
The Position:
Full-time Brewery Assistant: You will work with the head brewer to assist in all brewery operations. This includes, but not limited to:
1. General cleanliness
2. Assist in wort production
3. Tank cleaning and sanitation
4. Cleaning and filling kegs
5. Data recording
6. Handling raw materials
7. Canning
8. Fermentation monitoring
9. Yeast movement
Requirements:
Brewing experience and education is a plus, but not necessary. We will train the right candidate.
Ability to lift 55# and move 165#.
Ability to work 8+ hours on your feet in a wet, hot, noisy, busy environment
Ability to work in a past paced environment
Good communication skills
A passion for great beer
Must be a positive person. This is a drama-free work environment. Negativity is not tolerated.
Must be willing to work irregular hours. You WILL be working at nights and on the weekends.
