Award winning brewery located in the thriving neighborhood of Lawrenceville in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking candidates for a bottling line operator/cellar person.
Candidate responsibilities would include operating a Meheen Merlin 6-head bottling line with hot glue labelling and manual packoff. Tank CIP, cleaning/filling kegs, and building cases would be the other primary responsibilities. As with any brewery cleaning and attention to detail will be an important part of the job.
The right candidate could be trained in additional cellar responsibilities including beer transfers and filtration. If employee is successful in their position training in brewhouse operation is a possibility further down the line.
This position will be a full time position, M-F start time 7am until finished, some overtime may be required as needed.
We prefer a candidate with some professional experience or education, but seasoned homebrewers are encouraged to apply. But please have some idea of what it is like to work in a brewery, you might be cold/hot, you will probably get wet, and you may need to move heavy things. Ability to safely operate a forklift is a plus. Due to the nature of this position and our immediate need we would prefer a local candidate or someone that can relocate quickly. No relocation assistance is available.
Benefits include a free employee lunch for every shift and free beer allowance, after 3 month probationary employment partially employer covered health insurance, one week vacation after first year (two weeks after two, three after five), and 3% company matched Simple IRA plan after two years.
