removing rust spots/ passivating tank shells

I am looking for tips/techniques for removing minor rust stains from our tank shells. We have painted walls not too far from the back of our tanks.

Solution

WD40 and Tin Foil.

Both GW kent and 5 star chemicals sell a rust remover for stainless steel. Its a liquid that goes on with a sponge and will take care of the rust. You will need to wash it off when its done though
