Established Massachusetts brand seeks a candidate who is not only passionate about brewing, but someone who has vision to building out a brand and promoting sales both in state and beyond. A unique opportunity exists for the right candidate to spend twelve months working side by side with our existing contract brewer before our new brewery and tasting room is ready to be occupied. The ideal candidate will have at least five years experience as a head/assistant brewer and must be able to demonstrate an ability to manage all day-to-day brewing operations.
Responsibilities
• Brewing company recipes
• Developing new company recipes
• Plan and coordinate brewing schedules
• Direct and supervise brewing operations
• Establish contracts for ingredients
• Coordinate ordering of ingredients and maintaining appropriate brewing supplies
• Coordinate kegging, bottling, and canning schedules
• Attend events and festivals to promote company
• Doing anything and everything to make consistent, quality beer.
• Periodic handling of hazardous chemicals.
• Keep accurate daily production records per company and Federal Requirements.
• Continually maintain all beer production areas including equipment - Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules to maintain a clean working environment.
Qualifications
• Five years commercial brewing experience as head brewer or assistant brewer
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 55lbs regularly
• Working knowledge of social media sites for brand promotion
