Job Requirements:
- 1 year brewery experience
- Flexible schedule. Weekends and evenings. No over night shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds over your head. We handle a lot of grain by hand.
- Ability to work in a very physically demanding environment. Kneeling, crouching, moving heavy loads with pallet jacks, etc.
- Experience in yeast handling.
- Good multitasking skills.
- Great attitude about beer and working closely with like minded people.
- Brewing education is a plus but not required.
- Being a flexible person when it comes to your daily tasks. We all help out in many different aspects involved in getting our beer from the brewery to the pint glass or can.
Asheville Brewing is a happy brewery in the middle of what is still a booming brewing area. You'd be brewing on a 2 vessel 15bbl brewhouse in the middle of the "South Slope" neighborhood in downtown Asheville, walking distance to 8+ breweries, great music venues and amazing food. Possibility of salary and benefits are included for this position after an initial hourly trial period. We're looking for someone who thrives off of hard work and enjoys all the things that make Asheville unique.
