Nate here, brewer and co-founder at Tree House.
We are looking for a talented curator to join our very tight family here at Tree House with the position of Cellar Person. This opportunity is Full Time and requires relevant experience.
You will be responsible for the following, with many other tasks as necessary:
Dry hopping
Yeast management
Tank CIP / Purging / Preparation / Sterilization
Analytical sampling & record keeping
Dissolved O2 and dissolved Co2 sampling
Beer transfer / carbonation management
Brew day assistance / Grist preparation / Ingredient preparation
Packaging assistance
Care for and prep new & multi-use oak / tend to beer developing in barrels
Many other varied tasks as required
Required experience & skills:
2+ years relevant professional experience
Refined and educated palate
Exceptional communication skills
Ability to multitask and work lucidly in a time sensitive environment
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push 150 lbs.
Must be able to drive forklift, drive / use scissor lift
Must be able to handle dangerous chemicals and follow PPE protocol
Must be able to bend, lift, reach, and stand on your feet for eight hours
Exceptional troubleshooting skills and common sense
Flexibility - Ability to work varied hours and shifts
Passion and desire to continuously self assess and improve.
