Central California Award winning brewery is looking for qualified and enthusiastic Brewers to round out our team and to join us on our continual growth and expansions. We are in search for the following:
Head Brewer / Brewer
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
The ability operate and maintain equipment needed to produce wort, oversee fermentation, conditioning and maintain consistent product in a production Brewery.
• Positive outlook and attitude, and the ability to think on your feet.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently, while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Extreme Attention to detail, as well as strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple processes at one time
• Self motivated with good time management skills.
• Ability to work in a diverse environment, flexible hours with weekend and overnight shifts
• Alerts the Brewing Operations Manager to potential quality concerns
• Able to maintain SOP’s of brewery, with no deviation
• 2-3 years commercial brewing experience, and or College education or trade equivalent
• Primarily operate our 15bbl Premier system with fermenters ranging in size from 15bbl to 120bbl
• Possiblity of working on newer 60bbl brew system, as well as one of three smaller pub style breweries
• CIP and tank sanitation, general brewery cleaning and upkeep
• Operate DE Filter, plate & frame filter, and Lenticular Filter
• Familiar with recipe formulation with RO water
Proper Yeast handling techniques, and Lab experience is preferred
• Inventory management and Quality Control techniques, diligent record keeping , with strong computer skills
• Physical strength and agility necessary with ability to lift 55lbs repeatedly
• Prior production brewing and barrel aging experience a plus.
• Operate a fork lift as well as mechanical knowledge
• Knowledge of traditional and innovative brewing techniques and styles
• Have a passion for making great beer, able to think outside the box
We're looking for a Head Brewer and Lead Brewer who can brew our existing beers with close attention to quality and consistency, and help us develop new beers that will take us to the next level. We offer salary commensurate with experience and an individually designed benefit package. Figueroa Mountain Brewing is a rapidly growing leader in the craft brewing industry.
