Who We Are:
Exile Brewing Company was opened in August 2012 by Bob & R.J. Tursi. Exile has two distinct businesses, pub and brewery, that share the same passion & core values. These two distinct operations work together to grow our brand and create an all encompassing experience for our local community and customers. The restaurant has seen large success over the past two and a half years and is gradually becoming an institution in downtown Des Moines.
For the past two years infrastructure to increase our capacity has been added to our brewery. Last August we began bottling our beer and have seen unprecedented local craft sales in central Iowa. We are currently increasing our distribution footprint and rapidly growing our annual barrelage. One of our brands was recently recognized as the #5 “Best-Selling New Craft Beers” in the country. Our goal is to become a major player in the Iowa craft beer scene and to achieve a deep, regional distribution.

5 years of commercial brewing experience that includes recipe formulation.

Job Description
Executing a brewing schedule.
Formulating recipes for monthly seasonal releases
Purchasing all raw materials.
Maintenance of brewing equipment and facility.
Managing brewery staff.
Educating staff on the art and science of brewing.
Presenting ideas that move us toward our company goals and solving problems that prevent us from reaching them.
Thorough and respectful communication with all other divisions of the company.
Brewing, yeast management, transferring & ensuring the immaculate cleanliness of the brewing facility.
