Job Summary
The Coronado Brewing Company is looking for a self-motivated individual who is hungry to make a difference in their job and lead a team of brewers making great craft beer. Qualified candidates must be outgoing, goal-oriented and have a passion for the craft brewing industry.
The Senior Production Brewer leads a team of brewers and is responsible for realizing the Company’s beer production objectives. This includes coordination of the ordering and management of the inventory of all raw materials that go into the production process and directing the team that turns those ingredients into great beer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversees and participates in all production brewery operations including efficient ordering and management of raw material inventory.
• Collaborates on inventory management efforts including raw materials, packaging and finished goods.
• Responsible for all brew team member management responsibilities including, hiring, training and development, coaching, performance appraisals and progressive discipline for the brew team.
• Collaborates on all production activities and creates schedules in accordance with sales forecasts and demands.
• Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of long-term and short-term planning.
• Works closely with the Director of Brewing Operations to maintain and monitor staffing, expenditures, and resource management to fulfill the Company’s needs.
• Researches industry trends to continuously evolve the brewery operations standards.
• Collaborates with Head Brewer on new beer innovation.
• Participates/audits brewery shifts (brewing, packaging, cellaring, filtering, cleaning, etc.) to ensure that consistent procedures and protocols are being upheld.
• Ensures a safe working environment for employees by maintaining facility and equipment in optimal working conditions.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university preferred, but not required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in brewing beer with a minimum of two years leading a brew team.
• Proven success in overseeing, leading, and mentoring a production brew team.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft, Excel.
• Excellent leadership skills with the proven ability to lead and motivate team members and a willingness to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
• Proven decision making and analytical skills in addition to strong financial acumen.
• Prior experience in a fast paced environment which is heavily integrated with other functional departments.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement a long-term plan while multi-tasking, prioritizing and adapting to changing situations.
• Professional and proficient verbal and written communication skills.
